These Terms of Service (the "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the MyITER Team governing your access to and use of the MyITER website, the installable application, its APIs, and all associated features (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, entering Guest Mode, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by the Privacy Policy referenced in them.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorised to access or use the Service, and you must discontinue use immediately. Where these Terms refer to a "Service-Specific Notice", such notices published under the Terms section for individual features supplement these Terms.
You represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and are competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, or that you are using the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Where you act on behalf of a club, section, committee, or other body, you represent that you are authorised to bind that body.
The Service is a productivity and information platform that provides attendance and academic tracking, task management, hostel menu and notice aggregation, curriculum reference, community discussion, polls and forms, section collaboration boards, study material indexing, and experimental features. It is provided to you at no charge unless otherwise stated at the point of access.
The Service is a tool for personal organisation and information display. It is not an advisory service, is not an academic record system, and does not provide educational, legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. Reliance on any information made available through the Service is strictly at your own risk.
We do not currently charge subscription fees and do not collect payment card or banking information. Should paid functionality be introduced, the pricing, billing, refund, and renewal conditions will be disclosed before purchase and will apply only to those features.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue any feature, wholly or partly, at any time, with or without notice, including where required for security, legal compliance, cost, or the reasonable operation of the platform. We do not undertake that any feature will remain available, and we are not liable to you or to any third party for modifications to, or suspension or discontinuation of, the Service.
You must provide accurate and complete registration information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you, including posts, marks of attendance, deletion actions, and messages.
Each user may maintain only one account. Creating, or causing to be created, additional accounts for the purpose of circumventing a restriction, a moderation action, a rate limit, or any other limitation imposed under these Terms is prohibited and may result in the suspension or termination of all associated accounts.
Where you authenticate using Google, you must maintain control of the underlying Google account, and we may rely on the email address supplied by Google as the identifier of your account. Recovery or loss of access to that Google account is your responsibility.
You agree to notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorised use of your account, any suspected security weakness, and any compromise of your credentials.
Guest Mode permits limited use of the Service without an account. Guest data is stored on your device rather than on our servers, is valid for thirty (30) days, and is lost if you clear browser storage, use a different device or browser, or allow the guest session to lapse. Guest Mode is provided for convenience only. MyITER is not responsible for the loss of, or inability to transfer, guest data, and certain features are unavailable in Guest Mode.
You may use the Service only lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you agree that you shall not:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner that promotes, facilitates, or incites an unlawful act; post content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, violent, harassing, bullying, or incestuous; or content that endangers the safety of any person or reveals the private information of any person, including doxing.
Submit false academic information for the purpose of misleading an institution; use the Service to obtain or distribute unauthorised examination assistance, to share solutions to assessments where such sharing breaches your institution rules, or to fabricate or alter attendance records with intent to deceive. You must respect the academic integrity policies of ITER, SOA University, and any other institution whose materials or systems the Service touches.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, accounts of other users, or Row Level Security controls; probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities except through our reporting channel; introduce malware, viruses, or destructive code; interfere with, degrade, or disrupt the Service; impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the infrastructure; or bypass rate limits and access controls.
Use scripts, robots, crawlers, or other automated means to access the Service, its APIs, or institutional systems through the Service, except for the accessibility tooling that the Service itself provides to you, without our prior written permission.
Impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, use another person credentials, or create fictitious identities for the purpose of manipulating polls, votes, sections, or community standing.
Sell, resell, sublicense, rent, or commercially exploit the Service or its content; use the Service to advertise a third-party product or service; scrape or republish content for the purpose of building a competing service; or mine personal data of other users for any purpose.
Infringe any copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, or other proprietary right of any third party, including by uploading course material you are not entitled to distribute.
You are solely responsible for all data, text, images, links, and other material that you submit, upload, or publish through the Service ("User Content"). You retain all right, title, and interest in and to your User Content, and it remains yours.
By submitting User Content, you grant MyITER a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable to the extent necessary to operate the Service, licence to host, store, transmit, display, reproduce, adapt, and otherwise process that User Content solely for the purposes of providing, maintaining, securing, and improving the Service. This licence terminates when you delete the relevant User Content or your account, subject to caching, backups, and content that is lawfully preserved.
You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights necessary to grant the licence above, that your User Content does not violate these Terms or applicable law, and that you have obtained any consent required from third parties whose personal data appears in your content.
User Content submitted to community areas is not confidential. Do not submit trade secrets, personal information of others, examination material subject to confidentiality, or any information you wish to keep private.
We do not pre-screen User Content and do not guarantee that content is accurate, appropriate, or lawful. We reserve the right, but accept no obligation, to remove, restrict, redact, or refuse any User Content at any time, in our sole discretion, with or without notice, where we consider it necessary to comply with these Terms or with law, or to protect the Service or its users.
Suggestions, ideas, and other feedback you provide about the Service may be used by us without restriction and without compensation, and will not be treated as confidential.
The Service, including its source code, user interface, layout, graphics, icons, animation, the "Paper Craft Digital" visual theme, and the MyITER name, mark, and logo, is the proprietary work of the MyITER Team and is protected by the copyright law of India, including the Copyright Act, 1957, and by international treaties. All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to copy, modify, create derivative works of, distribute, publicly display, or otherwise exploit the Service or its elements, except the limited right to use the Service as intended.
Open-source components used within the Service remain subject to their respective licences. Google, Android, Google Calendar, and the Google logo are trademarks of Google LLC and are used under applicable brand guidelines; Apple and Apple Calendar are trademarks of Apple Inc.; Box is a trademark of Box, Inc.; WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp Inc.; SOA University and ITER are marks of their respective owners. The presence of any such mark does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with MyITER.
The Service interacts with systems operated by third parties, including your institution portal, authentication and hosting providers, document hosts, external content APIs, and an artificial intelligence inference provider. Those systems are provided by their operators on their own terms, and your use of them is subject to their respective agreements and policies.
Access to institutional systems must be conducted in accordance with the rules of that institution. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Student Dashboard feature, including any requirement that you hold valid credentials and comply with portal terms, does not breach institutional policy. Availability, correctness, and continuity of institutional data depend entirely on the institution, and outages or changes to those systems may disable related features without notice.
Integration with, or reference to, a third party does not constitute a recommendation by us or an endorsement of MyITER by that third party.
Certain features use automated parsing or generative models, including the import of a timetable from text you provide and natural language assistance. Such features are provided to assist you and are subject to the following conditions.
Automated and generative outputs may be incomplete, incorrect, or misinterpreted. You must review and, where necessary, correct every imported or generated record before relying upon it, and you remain responsible for the accuracy of the data ultimately stored in your account.
Do not submit confidential information, personal data of other individuals, examination material, or institutional credentials in prompts or imported documents. Text you submit for processing is transmitted to our inference provider for the sole purpose of returning a result.
Outputs are not academic, legal, medical, or financial advice, and must not be treated as a substitute for guidance from your institution or a qualified professional.
EduTrack and related features record data that you enter or import. MyITER does not verify your attendance against any institutional source and cannot do so. The records you maintain are your own and are stored for your personal convenience.
Nothing generated by the Service, including percentages, projections, warnings, or printed summaries, constitutes an official academic record. Institutional records maintained by ITER, SOA University prevail over any record displayed in the Service, and you must verify all critical academic matters, including attendance status, eligibility, and deadlines, through official channels.
You accept that decisions taken on the basis of Service data, including decisions about class attendance or academic planning, are yours alone, and that MyITER bears no responsibility for academic consequences, including shortage of attendance, ineligibility, or loss of grade.
Notices, hostel menu items, curriculum references, and archived study material are collected from official and semi-official sources, and may be curated manually. Such content may be incomplete, superseded, mistimed, or unavailable, and links may fail or lead to material that has been moved by the host.
MyITER acts as an aggregator and convenience layer. We make no representation or warranty regarding the accuracy, validity, currency, or completeness of aggregated information, and we are not responsible for administrative decisions of the hostel, the department, or the institution.
The Archive indexes study material contributed or identified by students. You are responsible for ensuring that you are entitled to submit or use material in The Archive, and that your use complies with your institution academic integrity rules and with applicable copyright law. Rights holders may request removal of material as described in the section titled "Copyright Complaints and Takedown".
The Service is used by a student community. You must engage respectfully, must not abuse anonymous or pseudonymous features, and must not evade moderation through alternate accounts.
MyITER moderators may issue warnings, remove content, restrict specific features, temporarily suspend access, or terminate accounts, in their discretion and in proportion to the severity and recurrence of a violation, without prior notice where immediate action is necessary to protect users or the Service.
A user subject to a moderation action may appeal by writing to [email protected] with the identifier shown in the notice, the action appealed, and any supporting evidence. Appeals are reviewed by a maintainer who did not take the original decision where practicable, and the outcome is communicated to you.
If you are a rights holder, or the authorised agent of a rights holder, and consider that material available through the Service infringes your rights, send a written notice to [email protected] containing the identification of the copyrighted work, the precise URL or index location of the material, your contact details, a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law, and a statement, made under penalty, that the information supplied is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
We will acknowledge a compliant notice within twenty-four (24) hours and will ordinarily disable access to the identified material within such period as is required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Where content is removed, we will notify the user who submitted it, who may submit a counter-notice in writing.
Push notifications are provided as an optional convenience and require permission from your browser or device. Delivery depends on factors outside our control, including browser and operating system policies, network conditions, and vendor push services, and we do not guarantee timely or any delivery. Any message costs charged by your access provider remain your responsibility. You may disable notifications at any time, and we may continue to display in-application notices that are necessary for the operation of the Service.
Features identified as experiments, betas, or previews are not stable, may be incomplete, may contain defects, may be materially altered, and may be withdrawn at any time without notice. They are provided on an as-available basis, and use of them is at your own risk. Data created within an experimental feature may not be recoverable and may be deleted when the feature is withdrawn. This section does not limit our liability where limitation is not permitted by law.
THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ALL CONTENT, FEATURES, DATA, AND MATERIAL AVAILABLE THROUGH IT, IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, timely, accurate, or free of harmful components; that defects will be corrected; that the Service will operate on any particular hardware or configuration; or that the results obtained from use of the Service will be reliable.
MyITER is an independent, student-developed initiative. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, connected to, or acting on behalf of ITER, SOA University, any constituent or affiliated institution, any university, any government body, or any of their subsidiaries or agencies. All institutional names and marks are used descriptively to identify the community the Service serves.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MYITER, THE MYITER TEAM, ITS CONTRIBUTORS, OR ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, ACADEMIC RESULT, OR USE, WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), MISREPRESENTATION, RESTITUTION, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
SUBJECT TO THE PARAGRAPH BELOW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF MYITER FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED INR 500.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for wilful misconduct, or for any other matter for which limitation would be unlawful under the law of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Loss of locally stored Guest Mode data and of data you fail to back up is not a basis of liability against us.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MyITER, the MyITER Team, its contributors, and its service providers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal costs, arising out of or relating to your User Content, your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of the rights of any third party or of any applicable law, or any academic or disciplinary consequence attributable to your submissions.
These Terms remain in force while you access or use the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy. Ceasing use does not remove obligations accrued before termination.
We may suspend or terminate your access, immediately and without prior notice where necessary, for breach of these Terms, where required by law or by a competent authority, where your account is compromised or impersonated, or where continued provision is, in our reasonable determination, impracticable or harmful to the Service or its users.
On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, any licence granted to you ends, and you remain liable for obligations incurred prior to termination. The sections governing User Content, Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and General Provisions survive termination.
We may amend these Terms periodically to reflect changes to the Service, to legal requirements, or to our practices. The revised Terms will be posted on the Terms of Service pages at myiter.in/terms with a revised effective date, and material changes will additionally be announced within the application, and where reasonably possible by email or push notification, at least seven (7) days before they take effect unless a shorter period is necessary for legal, security, or operational reasons.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. We may, for substantial changes, require you to affirmatively accept the revised Terms before you continue. If you do not accept, you must stop using the Service and may request deletion of your account.
Before commencing proceedings, the parties shall attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute, difference, or claim arising out of these Terms directly, and shall first refer the matter in writing to [email protected] for grievance redressal. You agree to allow thirty (30) days for a response before pursuing any other remedy.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory right you have to bring proceedings in your place of residence, and without prejudice to any remedy available under consumer protection law, the courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and every service-specific notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and MyITER concerning the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings relating to it.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is impossible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
No failure or delay by us in exercising any right, remedy, or provision operates as a waiver of it, and no waiver of a breach constitutes a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any right under them without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, reorganisation, acquisition, or transfer of the Service, subject to the Privacy Policy.
Notices to you may be given by display within the application, by email to the address associated with your account, or by push notification. Notices to us must be sent to [email protected].
These Terms do not confer any right or remedy on any person other than you and MyITER, save for our contributors and service providers who benefit from the indemnity and limitation provisions.
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disaster, epidemic, war, civil unrest, governmental or institutional action, network or power interruption, cyberattack, cloud provider outage, or failure of a third-party system on which the Service depends.
Questions regarding these Terms, requests for permission to use the Service in a manner not expressly permitted, moderation appeals, copyright notices, and grievance complaints may be addressed to the MyITER Team at [email protected]. We will acknowledge your correspondence within two (2) business days and will provide a substantive response within a reasonable period.
These service terms supplement the MyITER General Terms of Service, which govern your access to and use of the whole of the Service and which apply in full to this feature. In the event of a conflict, these service terms prevail for this feature only, and the General Terms of Service continue to apply in all other respects.
This document took effect on 13 September 2026. Read the General Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy before relying on this document.
