Credential Handling

Use of Your Portal Credentials

Your institutional identifier and portal password are transmitted to our servers solely so that we can request your records from the official portal on your instruction. Credentials are not written to the MyITER database, are not retained after the request completes, and server responses are marked as non-cacheable. We do not use your credentials for any purpose other than retrieving the data you asked to see.

Browser Automation Relay

Where the portal employs automated bot protection, your request may be relayed through a third-party browser automation provider located outside India so that it originates from a compliant browser session. That provider processes the request on our instruction only and is not licensed to retain or reuse the content. This relay occurs solely while you are actively using the Student Dashboard.

Saved Password on Your Device

If you choose to keep your password saved for convenience, it is stored in the local storage of the browser you used and is never uploaded to our servers. Browser local storage is not encrypted by us and is readable by anyone with access to that browser profile. Do not enable this option on a shared, borrowed, or internet cafe device, and clear site data if you previously did.

Academic Data Fetching

Attendance and result records are fetched on demand from external institutional endpoints and shown inside MyITER for convenience. This data is not treated as an official institutional record.

A local snapshot may be stored on your device to improve startup experience. This snapshot can be overwritten by fresh fetches and removed by clearing browser storage.

Data Retention

Session state for Student Dashboard is maintained in secure, short-lived cookies to keep you authenticated during the active session. Expired session state is automatically discarded.
